New Website on its Way

As part of our re-branding campaign, our website is having an overhaul. The new website is due to be completed at the end of the month, and will focus more on projects we have completed. More case-studies will be available about how Web 3D can help businesses in all areas. There will also be a client login area to improve client communication.

Tuk Tuk and Away!

This summer, an expedition group from Cambridge University will travel 15,000 km to India tracing the old trading routes and influences of tea. But there's a catch, the group will travel the whole journey in autorickshaws (Tuk Tuks).

To help raise funds for this trip the team are selling advertising space on the Tuk Tuks. We created a system that allows for a customer to purchase ad-space online on a virtual Tuk Tuk.

The customer can select an area of the Tuk Tuk and upload their advert from their computer on to the Tuk Tuk. If the customer is then happy with how their image appears they can proceed to purchase the ad. The ad they purchase will appear both on the real Tuk Tuk and on the web 3d Tuk Tuk.

You can see the virtual Tuk Tuk for yourself at: http://www.tracingtea.org/model.html.

Trimontium Exhibition Launched

After six months of planning and implementing, we are glad to announce our work on the Trimontium artefacts with the help of the National Museum of Scotland has come to completion.

The presentation “Model Romans” which covered how we visualised the artefacts was also successfully received by the Trimontium Trust. The display of the Virtual Artefacts is now open and can be seen at the Melrose Museum . The virtual artefacts have also been published on CDs which are to be distributed across Scottish schools.
